1 August 2010 - Butterfly

This is my first successful butterfly photo. This "painted lady" or Vanessa cardui hung around our garden all day. I tried to take a photo this morning but it wasn't very clear. Later I was lying in the sun with a magazine and I noticed it sitting on this pelargonium flower. The colours kind of clash but I'm delighted with the shot. At last!
