10 January - Storm Clouds Gathering

Today I spent some time mulching plants with leaf mould. The drought is biting hard making it necessary to try and preserve as much moisture as possible.

I later went around to the front garden and looked up to see these clouds. Hopefully we'll get some rain tonight which will top up the rain tanks. It's been hot and humid all day so perhaps we'll have a storm - if the famous PE wind doesn't blow all the clouds away.

I usually take a precious commodity like water for granted - until the supply is threatened and then it becomes the focus of attention. May it rain!
